Fifty one years (April 12, 1961 ) ago the 27-year-old Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin circled the Earth for 1 hour and 48 minutes aboard the Vostok1 spacecraft. The same date but 20 years after the historic flight Space Sputnik was launched.
